Afsana Mimi

I am Afsana Mimi, an actress, director, and model with over three decades of experience in the Bangladeshi entertainment landscape. My artistic journey began with the theatre troupe "Nagorik Natya Sampradaya," which laid the foundation for a career defined by diversity and depth. I am widely recognized for my breakthrough performance in the iconic drama Kothao Keu Nei, and I have had the honor of working in landmark films such as Nodir Naam Modhumoti and Chitra Nodir Pare. Most recently, my dedication to the craft was honored with the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for my role in Paap Punno (2022).

Beyond acting, I have successfully transitioned into directing and production, helming notable projects like Doll's House and Kacher Manush through my production house, Green Screen. My commitment to the arts also extends to cultural leadership; I had the privilege of serving as the Director of the Department of Theatre and Film at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and continue to lead "Ichchhetola," a cultural center in Dhaka. Whether on screen, in the director's chair, or in the digital OTT space with series like Mohanagar 2, I remain dedicated to elevating the standard of Bangladeshi storytelling.
